Baptism
“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.” Through Baptism we are united with Christ, freed from sin, and recreated as sons and daughters of the Father. (CCC 1213)
Preparing for Baptism
Parents seeking to have their child (newborn to around age six) baptized at St. Gertrude Parish should click the button below to complete an interest form. If this is your first child to be baptized at St. Gertrude or it has been longer than five years since the last time you had a child baptized here, you will be invited to participate in Rooted: Family Baptism Formation.
Have you been asked to be a godparent? Print and complete this godparent form and return it to the parish office.

Children and youth (7-16 years old) interested in being baptized should contact Walter Plummer at wplummer@stgertrude.org.
Adults interested in being baptized should contact Tyler Castrucci at tcastrucci@stgertrude.org, or click the button below for information about our Become Catholic program.

Celebrating Baptism
Our parish joyfully celebrates the sacrament of Baptism on most Sunday afternoons. Adults and youth (age seven and older) are typically baptized at the Easter Vigil Mass. Other arrangements and dates are possible as needed. Our Baptism team will work with you to determine the most suitable time.
